Toronto, June 2017. Cyril Woods, Baron of Slane, has agreed to become a Trustee of the Portuguese Centenary Appeal. Cyril is an entrepreneur and philanthropist living in Canada.

He has been Honorary Chair of the Canadian Leadership Council of United Nations in Canada since 2002. He is a Knight of Justice of The Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem and has been decorated by several states and religious organisations. He is an active inter-religious campaigner.

In 2012 Cyril was appointed Honorary Colonel Emeritus by The Princess of Wales’ Own Regiment.
