Windsor, April 2016. The Anglo-Portuguese Society has organised a Special Evensong service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on Monday 9 May 2016 at 5:15pm. Windsor Castle has been the family home to British kings and queens for over a century. St George’s Chapel is one of the great centres of national worship and the burial place of 10 monarchs including Henry VIII and Charles I. The Chapel is also the home of the Knights of the Garter, Britain’s most senior order of chivalry.

The service will commemorate the Treaty of Windsor, which sealed the diplomatic alliance signed between Portugal and England on 9 May 1386.

All are most welcome and no tickets to gain entrance are required.

At the conclusion of this service, there will be a retiring collection in aid of the Portuguese Centenary Appeal.
