London, April 2018.<\/strong> The unveiling of the new windows will take place on Monday 9 April 2018 at St James\u2019s Church, 61 Popes Grove, Twickenham, TW1 4JZ, at 12 noon. This date marks the\u00a0Centenary Anniversary of the Battle of the Lys.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0windows will serve to honour and commemorate the Portuguese\u00a0soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the First Wold War, making it the first memorial dedicated to the Portuguese fallen of the Great War in Britain.<\/p>\n

His Eminence Vincent Cardinal Nichols, Archbishop of Westminster, will be the principal celebrant at the Mass.\u00a0The windows will be unveiled by Field Marshal Lord Guthrie and HE Mr Manuel Lobo Antunes, Ambassador of Portugal to the Court of St James\u2019s.<\/p>\n

The unveiling of the windows will be followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.<\/p>\n
